Young Adult novels are often abbreviated as YA. They are written for a young adult audience and span a whole field of genres. The main character is always a young adult and they generally spend the store figuring out their lives or a truth about something or someone that builds their own character. Although marketed to a younger audience, these books are great reads for just about everyone. The truths that the characters unfold can be applied to even older folks. Many of these books have romances where feelings are dissected and sorted through and there’s generally not as much blatant and gratuitous sex scenes.
